NO CLASS THIS SUNDAY – Dec 30 (TOMORROW)

Hey ladies

Please forgive us for the late notice. Both Jenn and I have been bedridden with the latest harsh strain of head/chest colds and are not feeling up to hosting DDPP tomorrow. We thought today we both might be feeling better – but it’s not so! I can’t hear out of either ears and Jenn can’t breathe! We don’t want to get anyone sick by sweating and huffing and puffing in the same room – so we’re going to call off class for Sunday.

The mighty ship of DDPP should be back on schedule starting this Wednesday! Hope to see you ladies again soon! We’ll forgo the surprise this Sunday for next Sunday – hope to see you there!

NO CLASS TONIGHT!

No class tonight (December 26) due to post-holiday stress syndrome. Not really – we’re just taking a little break. The party shall resume on the 30th! See you there for a special surprise…

DJ World Mama

This afternoon was a ride on one smooth soul train. DJ World Mama was our conductor, and she blew that whistle hard! She kicked up some jams from back in the days of days! Don’t you want somebody to love? Why yes! Yes we do! And as a matter of fact – come midnight or shortly thereafter – we ARE going to let it all hang out. Let’s make DDPP an invitation across the nation – a chance for folks to meet! (Dancing in the street, your seat, or the sheets!)

Today we had plenty of room to twirl, slide, leap and not hurt anyone in close proximity. But if you’re like Jenn Martin – you can injure yourself from feeling the music really hard. Hope your leg feels better lady! No more split leaps and limbos! Thanks to all the ladies who made it out on the snowiest DDPP to date! And thanks to Judith (DJ World Mama) for taking us back in time and to exotic lands in this uber mix of magic.

Oooh! Aren’t we all lucky little bunnies who came to DDPP yesterday! Yay! DJ Tanner (Jenn Martin) and D J Bran (Jenn Brandel) threw down hard. We made a mix that could burn off the christmas cakes and latkes and spiked holiday punch all in one tiny little hour. This was a mix worth hearing again. Hell! It’s a mix worth having a whole party to! So that’s why we sprung a copy on each and every one of you! We hope you can incorporate this mix of our favs from 2007 DDPPs in to your joy-out regiment. Yep. Work-outs are for suckers.

Thanks to all the newbies who took a chance and shook it hard. Hope to see all of your pretty faces in the little-studio-that-could very soon!

And just FYI – there just might be a Sunday before the end of the year when we spin this mix again and give her out. So if you want another heart-attacker, you know where to go!

HOLIDAY DDPP SCHEDULE

Hey ladies! With the holidays getting their nasty hands on all these days coming up, we’re going to give you all (and us) a break right before Jesus’ Birthday. Here’s the schedule changes for the end of December.

Hope you all have a most fantastic holiday! And know that during 2 very special DDPP classes before 2007, we just might be giving away something special to those who come to class… (a gift! yes!)

Hey everyone! So sorry for the last second notice – but we just got word from the studio owner that she accidentally double-booked the space tomorrow (Sunday, December 9th). We are not going to be able to use it, so therefore, no class.

Please take this opportunity to dance your tush off at home with your friends. Or do some laundry. Or just plain relax.

We are very sorry about this news. And we’ll be sure to let you know of any schedule changes just as fast as we possibly can.

And PLEASE pass along this news to any ladies who you think may be attending class tomorrow. We don’t have the contact information for folks who have never come to DDPP.

DJ Crazy Squirrel…you can run up my tree anytime

Tonight’s class was twenty fold, but our ladies could not, and would not fold under the pressure of DJ Crazy Squirrel’s Nutastical mix. DJ Crazy Squirrel’s debut mix delivered, and had us sweatin’, stompin’, twirlin’ and groovin’. Spontaneous clapping was back in full force, so much that the other Jenn would have been shoutin’ out loud. Our thoughts about Chicago hibernation-all wrong. There will be no extra winter pounds, no procrastination, and no guilt about overeating comfort food this winter with Crazy Squirrel on the scene. She is bound to make limbs shake and bounce in her presence. Her music made us nuts, and we we’re eatin’ as much as we could till our next fix.

A Full House with DJ Tanner

Lotsa ladies this past Sunday at the cozy little studio! DJ Tanner (Jenn Martin) busted out the hits from many decades. We discovered the following critical information together: Dolly Parton is 100% dance-able; German’s know how to get busy; and that Supersonic is a song we all secretly wish we’d written. So hot. If only Danny Tanner and the twins could have witnessed the funk fest. DJ Tanner – you (really) got it, dude.  Fantastic mix. See below!
