Forgotten Shoes, Forgotten Censor
Before I get into the juicy - someone left a pair of cute brown mary-jane shoes at the studio tonight. If you’re that lady - shoot us an email at ddppchicago{at}gmail{dot}com. We’ll coordinate a drop-off.
Ok - now onto the evening. Without my Jenny Bear Martinpants (her nickname. yes - I know nicknames are supposed to be concise) tonight, I seem to have made some slightly “off” judgment calls. Jenn is my north star. Tonight, I had no compass. I was flying blind. And a wall was hit. Note to all DJ’s - TV on the Radio is not exactly Dance Party friendly. Also - try not to follow up a bomb with a song featuring “herpes” prominently in the lyrics.
Anyway - we survived! Actually - we thrived. Who am I kidding? We had major fun times tonight. From the synchronized stomping during “Push It” to my very dream coming true of everyone re-enacting that amazing scene from Beetlejuice during Banana Boat (Day-O). Thanks to all who indulged me in that little number. It’s just as fun sober as it is otherwise. Ok - here’s the playlist! From your very own D J Bran. I’ll make you lose something…like your shoes!
Oh! Another thing! Kelly kindly pointed out that the Irving Park Brown Line stop is under construction right now. So you’ll have to exit at Montrose. It’s only another 2 block walk or so. Bundle up! See you Sunday!
