True story: immediately after DJ Bel Biv de Ho’s most recent playlist, I texted a friend the following:
If that gives you any idea of the fun we had that night, dear reader, I encourage you to read on….
Now that our looooooooong slide into summertime appears to finally (almost?) have reached an end, I know that I am eagerly anticipating long early evening rides around town with my car windows down, killer tunes blasting on the radio. It would appear that I am not the only one, as DJ Bel Biv de Ho recently returned to the studio with an entire mix of songs inspired by the art of car dancing. You know, that particular style of body movement that is heavy on arms and shoulders and torso shimmies (as there’s only so much moving our hips can do securely buckled into our seats–it’s the LAW!). So no, Will Smith, although this is certainly Fresh, it doesn’t quite count:
This baby has it down, though:
And you go, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill:
So imagine that we already have that amazingness as inspiration, AND we were able to make full use of our legs to stomp around the room. Because with a playlist like this, how could we not?? By the end of the night, there were clearly some new moves I can’t wait to try out in the car, including the Inner Ninja (complete with unplanned synchronous bowing–high five, Danielle!). What are some of YOUR favorite car dancing moves? Share ’em in the comments!
