Dancin’ and Indexin’

12367065_10208461386115957_2015518612_nThe DDPP Co-ed Holiday Edition on December 13th, 2015 was a success! Thanks to everybody that came out. We hope you had a good time. We sure did! We raised dough and collected supplies for Heartland Alliance (an anti-poverty organization that helps people around the world who are homeless, living in poverty, or seeking safety). Guess how much we raised for them? DRUM ROLL PLEASE…$403!!!

And with a hot mix curated by the DJ team Hot Queens x2 who may or may not be (OK they are) DDPP den mamas Danielle (DJ Hotdish) and Cherise (DJ E=QC^2), we couldn’t have had a better time jammin’ out with this rockin’ 90 minute playlist:

Also! In a moment we’re going to share with you some SUPER SPECIAL INFORMATION about  the music played at DDPP Chicago in 2015. It’s information collected from our awesome database of all the songs that get played at DDPP Chicago, as well as the date and who the DJ was. And who are the DJs? Well, ladies, most of the time it is YOU, because you only have to come to DDPP once to then be able to sign up for a slot. You get to select all the tunes! And we always need DJs! Interested? You can e-mail us at ddppchicago(at)gmail(dot)com for details and to sign up. ANYWAY! SO! DATABASE! If you want to see what songs have been played, this database is for you. Perhaps you want to play songs nobody has heard. Or perhaps you want to play songs everybody has heard. Or maybe you want to play songs only particular people on a particular date have heard. You get the idea. The things you can do with databases are numerous and delightfully nerdy.
