DDPP PSA: We’re Donating ALL Dance Dollars to Help End Teen Dating Violence!

We’ve always known that our DDPP ladies are bad-ass mamma-jammas not only one the dance floor but IRL. DDPPers do amazing things in those hours outside of DDPP and over the years, we’ve seen that the only thing to rival their kick-ass, body-busting, sassy moves are the generosity of their big hearts, and capacity to inspire and amaze. Y’all are damn fine people!

One such DDPPer is the director of Between Friends, a nonprofit agency dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and building a community free of abuse. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and for 20years, Between Friends has been serving the at-risk community with a teen dating violence prevention program, called REACH (Relationship Education: A Choice for Hope) in order to ignite hope for an end to abuse. To commemorate 20 years of REACH’s impact and social awareness, Between Friends is launching a year-long effort to spread the message and help those who need to break the cycle of violence.

For the entire month of October, DDPP Chicago will be donating the proceeds from ALL classes (Wednesdays and Sundays) to Between Friends #MoveForFriends cause. We encourage you, our loyal and lovely DDPP community, to rally all your girlfriends and lady family to come out every Wednesday and Sunday not just for great feel-good dance party but to stand up for the women and families affected by teen dating violence.

As Between Friends says, “Every step, every stride, every turn, every pose, every move will help raise awareness of domestic violence in our communities and expand the movement to end it.”

We’ll see you on the dance floor!
